Immigration to Canada in 2019
According to the new 2019-2021 Immigration Levels Plan, in the next three years, Canada will seriously increase the number of immigrants. The goal of the government is to strengthen the Canadian economy, maintain population diversity, and help create a dynamic and inclusive society.
In 2019, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada plan to get 81,400 economic immigrants via Federal Immigration Programs, 61,000 immigrants via Provincial Nominee Programs, 14,000 caregivers, 700 business immigrants, and 2,000 immigrants via the Atlantic Pilot program. The 2019 quota for the parents and grandparents sponsorship will be 20,500 and for the spousal and child sponsorship – 68,000 immigrants. Another 4,250 immigrants will come to Canada based on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. Finally, Canada expects to accept 46,450 refugees. The total number of immigrants planned for 2019 is 330.800.
